The High Peak of the Divine Revelation
Scripture Reading: Acts 8:30-31; John 12:24; 1 John 3:2
I. The turning of the Lord’s revelation and vision and the arriving at the high peak—Eph. 3:9-11: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “The High Peak of the Vision and the Reality of the Body of Christ,” msg. 1)
A. In the past seventy-three years, the Lord in His recovery has used us to develop the intrinsic understanding of His Word; from 1922 to 1952 Brother Nee laid a very good foundation; from 1952 until today, we have continued to develop what he laid as a foundation; in the past two years we have reached the ultimate consummation of our development. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 2, “The God-Men,” msg. 1)
B. Today we have come to this high peak of God’s divine revelation; I would even say that we have probably reached the highest peak of the divine revelation in the entire Bible—Rom. 8:3; 1:3-4; 12:4-5. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Living a Life according to the High Peak of God’s Revelation,” msg. 5)
II. The Lord led us to begin the crystallization-study of the Bible; the crystallization-study touches the depths, the crystals, of the Holy Scriptures; by such a crystallization-study, the Lord can reveal to us the intrinsic essence of the divine revelation, item by item—Rom. 16:25-26: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 2, “The Governing and Controlling Vision in the Bible,” msg. 1)
A. A piece of metal has an outward appearance, but within the appearance there is the inward element, and within the element is the essence; crystallization is based upon the essence—John 4:24; 14:6. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Crystallization-Study of the Epistle to the Romans,” msg. 1)
B. To know the essence of an orange, you have to open the skin to see the contents; first, you can see the element; then within the element there is the essence; it is the very essence of the orange that nourishes us—1:29; 6:63. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Crystallization-Study of the Epistle to the Romans,” msg. 1)
III. God became a man so that man may become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead; this is the center of the high peaks of the divine revelation among us—John 1:14; 2 Cor. 3:18; Col. 3:4; 2 Pet. 1:4; Phil. 2:5: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Triune God’s Revelation and His Move,” ch. 12)
A. The “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible is the revelation that in Christ God has become man in order that man might become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead—2 Sam. 7:12-14a; Rom. 1:3-4; Eph. 3:17a. (Life-study of Samuel, msg. 31)
B. It is only by God’s becoming man to make man God that the Body of Christ can be produced; this point is the high peak of the vision given to us by God—Gen. 1:26; John 12:24; Rom. 8:29. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “The High Peak of the Vision and the Reality of the Body of Christ,” msg. 1)
IV. The New Jerusalem is the highest purpose of God in His economy—Rev. 21:2, 9-10: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “The Experience of God’s Organic Salvation Equaling Reigning in Christ’s Life,” msg. 2)
A. Today in the recovery all the co-workers must learn to speak these high truths concerning God’s economy—that God became a man that man may become God, with the New Jerusalem as the ultimate consummation; this is a great miracle and a deep mystery—Eph. 4:4-6. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Application of the Interpretation of the New Jerusalem to the Seeking Believers,” msg. 5)
B. “The processed and consummated Triune God, according to the good pleasure of His desire and for the highest intention in His economy, is building Himself into His chosen people and His chosen people into Himself, that He may have a constitution in Christ as a mingling of divinity with humanity to be His organism and the Body of Christ, as His eternal expression and the mutual abode for the redeeming God and the redeemed man; the ultimate consummation of this miraculous structure of treasure will be the New Jerusalem for eternity”—inscription on Witness Lee’s tomb.
V. We must see the three stages, the three sections, of Christ: incarnation; inclusion and intensification—John 1:14; 1 Cor. 15:45b; Rev. 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6: (2004 ITERO-Fall, msg. 6)
A. We emphasize these three words—incarnation, inclusion, and intensification—and stress the facts that incarnation produces redeemed people, that inclusion produces the churches, and that intensification produces the overcomers to build up the Body, which consummates in the New Jerusalem as the unique goal of God’s economy. (2004 ITERO-Fall, msg. 6)
B. If we are carrying out a threefold work according to the stages of Christ’s history and full ministry, we will work not only to produce redeemed ones and work to establish churches but will also work to build up the Body consummating in the New Jerusalem—Phil. 3:8-10a. (2004 ITERO-Fall, msg. 6)
VI. The divine and mystical realm is actually not simply the divine and mystical realm of the Triune God but the divine and mystical realm of the consummated Spirit and the pneumatic Christ—Phil. 1:19; Rom. 8:9; 2 Cor. 13:14; Gal. 3:14: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 4, “The Divine and Mystical Realm,” ch. 3)
A. When we enter into the divine and mystical realm of the consummated Spirit and the pneumatic Christ, we have not only divinity but also the humanity of Christ, the death of Christ with its effectiveness, and the resurrection of Christ with its repelling power—Rom. 8:9, 11. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 4, “The Divine and Mystical Realm,” ch. 3)
B. If we would live in the divine and mystical realm, we need to have a vision of this realm, appreciate this realm, consider highly the entry into this realm, walk by the Spirit and according to the spirit—Gal. 5:16; Rom. 8:4; Heb. 4:12; 1 Cor. 6:17. (2007 TGC, msg. 3)
VII. Reigning in life is the full experience of the organic salvation of God; this complete salvation issues in our reigning in life as the goal of His complete salvation—Rom. 5:10, 17, 21: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “Crystallization-study of the Complete Salvation of God in Romans,” msg. 4)
A. God’s complete salvation is for us to reign in life by the abundance of grace (God Himself as our all-sufficient supply for our organic salvation) and of the gift of righteousness (God’s judicial redemption applied to us in a practical way)—vv. 10, 17, 21. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “Crystallization-study of the Complete Salvation of God in Romans,” msg. 5)
B. When we are all reigning in life, living under the ruling of the divine life, the issue is the real and practical Body life. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “Crystallization-study of the Complete Salvation of God in Romans,” msg. 5)
VIII. The organic aspect of God’s salvation is the purpose of God’s salvation to accomplish all that God wants to achieve in the believers in His economy through His divine life—Rom. 1:17; 5:10, 17, 18, 21: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Organic Aspect of God’s Salvation,” msg. 1)
A. God’s judicial redemption as the procedure is purposeless without God’s organic salvation; it would be merely for sinners to be redeemed, have their sins forgiven, and become righteous people justified by God—vv. 10, 21. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Organic Aspect of God’s Salvation,” msg. 5)
B. God’s judicial redemption as the procedure is with God’s organic salvation as the purpose, which is to regenerate us, shepherd us, sanctify us dispositionally, renew us, transform us, and build us up into the Body of Christ, which ultimately consummates the New Jerusalem to be God’s enlargement and expression in eternity. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Organic Aspect of God’s Salvation,” msg. 5)
IX. The highest peak in God’s economy is the reality of the Body of Christ—Eph. 4:20-21; Gal. 2:20; Phil. 1:19-21: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “The Practical Points concerning Blending,” msg. 4)
A. The reality of the Body of Christ is the corporate living of the perfected God-men, a living that is exactly the same as the way Jesus lived on earth—1 Cor. 12:12, 24; 10:17. (2006 ST, msg. 2)
B. The reality of the Body of Christ is the aggregate, the totality, of such a living by a group of God-men; this kind of a living, which is the reality of the Body of Christ, will close this age, the age of the church, and will bring Christ back—Rev. 11:15; 20:6. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “The Practical Points concerning Blending,” msg. 5)
X. The goal of God’s economy is the enlarged, universal, divine-human incorporation of the consummated God with the regenerated believers; the final consummation of this universal incorporation is the New Jerusalem—Rev. 21:2, 10~11: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “The Issue of Christ Being Glorified by the Father with the Divine Glory,” msg. 5)
A. In our ministry we have used three words to describe the believers’ relationship with the Triune God: union, mingling, and incorporation—John 15:4-5. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “The Issue of Christ Being Glorified by the Father with the Divine Glory,” msg. 5)
B. The New Jerusalem—the universal incorporation of the union and mingling of divinity with humanity—the processed and consummated Triune God incorporated with His regenerated, renewed, sanctified, transformed, conformed, and glorified tripartite elect—Rev. 21:10~11. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 5, “The Experience of God’s Organic Salvation Equaling Reigning in Christ’s Life,” msg. 3)
XI. The Lord’s recovery is to build up Zion—the overcomers in the church, the reality of the Body of Christ—48:2: (2003 ITERO-Fall, msg. 9)
A. As the highlight and beauty of the holy city Jerusalem, Zion typifies the overcomers as the high peak, the center, the uplifting, the strengthening, the enriching, the beauty, and the reality of the church—20:2; 53:6a; 87:2. (2008 ITERO-Spring, msg. 2)
B. What the Lord wants and what the Lord will build up is Zion, the overcomers; the church life is today’s Jerusalem, and in the church there must be a group of overcomers; these overcomers are today’s Zion—48:2; 50:2. (2003 ITERO-Fall, msg. 9)
C. Zion—the highest peak in God’s economy—is the reality of the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem—Rev. 21:2. (2003 ITERO-Fall, msg. 9)
XII. We need Christ, the embodiment of the Triune God, to be built into our being, to be constituted into us; this is what Christ is doing today—Christ builds His home in our hearts with the elements of divinity and humanity; this home is a mutual abode—Eph. 3:17; Rev. 21:3: (Life-study of Samuel, msg. 28)
A. In John 14:23 the Lord Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me,…My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him”; to “make an abode” is to build a house; this house, this abode, is for mutual abiding; hence, the Lord Jesus went on to say, “Abide in Me and I in you”—15:4a. (Life-study of Samuel, msg. 28)
B. God in Christ is within us to build Himself into our being and to build us into His being; He builds His divinity into our humanity and builds our humanity into His divinity in order to mingle and blend His divinity with our humanity into one entity—John 14:2, 23; 15:4. (Life-study of Samuel, msg. 28)
XIII. In Christ God has been constituted into man, man has been constituted into God, and God and man have been mingled together to be one entity, which is called the God-man—Matt. 1:21, 23; Luke 1:35; Titus 2:13; 1 Tim. 2:5: (2015 MDC, msg. 4)
A. Initially, the Bible speaks of the God-man; today this God-man has been reproduced to become the God-men; the God-men, the sons of God, are the duplication and continuation of Christ, the first God-man—John 12:24; Heb. 2:10; Rom. 1:3-4; 8:29. (2015 MDC, msg. 4)
B. As the reproduction and duplication of the first God-man, we should live the same kind of life that He lived—1 John 2:6: (2015 MDC, msg. 4)
1. The Lord’s God-man living set up a model for our God-man living—being crucified to live God so that God might be expressed in humanity—Gal. 2:20. (2015 MDC, msg. 4)
2. We must deny ourselves, be conformed to Christ’s death, and magnify Him by the bountiful supply of His Spirit—Phil. 3:10. (2015 MDC, msg. 4)
3. The One who lives the life of a God-man is now the Spirit living in us and through us; we must reject self-cultivation and the building up of our natural man and allow nothing other than this One to fill us and occupy us so that we may live Him and express Him personally and corporately in the church, which is His Body—Eph. 3:16-19; 1:22-23. (2015 MDC, msg. 4)
XIV. He has been dwelling in us since we believed in the Lord and were regenerated; now we have not only humanity but also divinity in us; now we need to practice living the life of a God-man, just as the Lord lived such a life when He was on the earth—Phil. 3:10; John 14:9; 5:19; 8:28; 14:10: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 2, “The Revival of the God-man Living,” msg. 2)
A. To live the life of a God-man, we should deny ourselves daily and die to the self daily; we should not do anything by ourselves or speak any word by ourselves—Phil. 3:10; 1:19-21. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 2, “The Revival of the God-man Living,” msg. 2)
B. All personal problems, family problems, problems among the saints, and problems among the churches are due to man’s self—Phil. 3:10; 1:19-21. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 2, “The Revival of the God-man Living,” msg. 2)
C. God needs a corporate people to be raised up by His grace through the high peak of the divine revelation to live a life according to this revelation—Acts 26:16, 19. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Living a Life according to the High Peak of God’s Revelation,” msg. 4)
D. Our living the life of a God-man will save people, edify others, and build up the local churches even to the building up of the Body of Christ; a vital group is a group of this kind of people—Gal. 2:20; Phil. 1:20-21; Matt. 16:18. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Living a Life according to the High Peak of God’s Revelation,” msg. 5)
XV. A vital group is a group of normal Christians to bring the recovery into another age—John 7:38~39: (CWWL, 1993, vol. 2, “The Training and the Practice of the Vital Groups,” msg. 5)
A. The vital groups can be eighty percent of the church life; the vital groups are a matter of life or death—Acts 2:46-47. (CWWL, 1991-1992, vol. 3, “Fellowship Concerning the Urgent Need of the Vital Groups,” msg. 19)
B. We all must rise up to be vitalized; be desperate and absolute to practice all that the Lord has shown us concerning the vital groups; the vital groups are the only thing that can renew the Lord’s recovery and bring in the prevailing increase. (CWWL, 1993, vol. 2, “1993 Blending Conference Messages Concerning the Lord’s Recovery and Our Present Need,” msg. 7)
XVI. The purpose of the blending is to usher us all into the reality of the Body of Christ—1 Cor. 12:12, 24: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “The Practical Points concerning Blending,” msg. 1)
A. The highest peak of the Lord’s recovery that can really, practically, and actually carry out God’s economy is for God to produce not many local churches in a physical way but an organic Body to be His organism; the local churches are the procedure to reach the goal of God’s economy; all the churches should live in life and in the spirit and be blended with one another for the manifestation of the reality of the Body of Christ. (2005 MDC, msg. 5)
B. The blending of all the local churches in the divine life consummates in the New Jerusalem as the unique organism for the processed and consummated Triune God’s eternal increase and expression—Rev. 21:2. (2005 MDC, msg. 5)
XVII. We can enter into a new revival by arriving at the highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God—the revelation of the eternal economy of God—1 Tim. 1:3-4; 1 Cor. 9:17; Acts 26:19, 22: (2021 ITERO-Spring, msg. 1)
A. We need a new revival, a revival that has never occurred in history; a revival should always be the practice of the vision we have seen; since we have seen such a high peak of the divine revelation, we need to put into practice what we have seen—Hab. 3:2. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Living a Life according to the High Peak of God’s Revelation,” msg. 5)
B. Our practice will have a success, and that success will be a new revival—the highest revival and probably the last revival before the Lord’s coming back; I believe that this revival will bring the Lord back—Rev 19:7-8; Matt. 24:44. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 1, “Living a Life according to the High Peak of God’s Revelation,” msg. 5)
XVIII. The Lord reminded me of ten great critical points in His revelation concerning our belief in Him for His recovery; I call them the ten “ones”; each critical point is a “one”—2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 28:19; John 11:25; Gal. 2:20; 1 Cor. 12:13; Rev. 21:2: (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Ten Great Critical “Ones” for the Building Up of the Body of Christ,” msg. 1)
A. These first five “ones” are the one Bible, one God, one Christ, one Spirit, and one life; these five big “ones” are the factors; then there are another five “ones”: the one salvation, one living, one testimony, one Body, and one city, which is the one consummation; these five are the issues that are produced from the preceding five factors—2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 28:19. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Ten Great Critical “Ones” for the Building Up of the Body of Christ,” msg. 1)
B. All of us need to see the vision of these ten great critical “ones”; Every “one” should be a strong principle that directs, corrects, adjusts, and regulates us for the performing of the proper oneness of the Body of Christ today and the keeping of us on the right track of the Lord’s work—Acts 26:19; Prov. 29:18. (CWWL, 1994-1997, vol. 3, “The Ten Great Critical “Ones” for the Building Up of the Body of Christ,” msg. 6)
