The Faithful and Diligent Spreading of the Truth

Scripture Reading: Heb. 1:1-2; Col. 1:25; Jer. 15:16; John 6:63; Rom. 15:16; Matt. 24:25; 1 Tim. 2:4; Rom. 10:15a

I. God’s work depends on His speaking and our proclaiming—Psa. 33:9; Heb. 1:1-2:

A. Through His word God’s work has been able to advance on the earth throughout the ages—Heb. 1:1-2.

B. The Lord’s recovery has been a recovery of truth, a recovery of God’s word; God has commissioned us with His word and His truth in these last days—Col. 1:25; Eph. 3:5-9; 1 Tim. 3:15.

C. During the past twenty years, eighty percent of the more than three hundred churches in the West have been raised up through the publications.

D. The churches in Southeast Asia, despite the fact that the co-workers frequently go to help the churches, their true, long-term help has come from the supply of the publications.

II. I encourage you to keep touching and keep seeing by reading the holy Word; eventually, you will become what you read—John 6:63; Rom. 15:16; Ezek. 3:1, 3; Rev. 10:9-10:

A. If we have a clear view and know the Bible, the condition of today’s Christianity, the truth, and the mercy given to us by God, we would spend our whole life being immersed and soaked in the truth—1 Tim. 4:6, 15-16; 1:4.

B. We should help the saints to build up a practice or a habit that every day they would spend at least thirty minutes in the Word—Acts 17:11-12; Matt. 4:4; 1 Pet. 2:2.

III. If we would do this every day, little by little the word will be accumulated in us and we will have a rich store of the Lord’s word; if everyone reads the Lord’s Word in this way, the truth among us will greatly increase, and we will become a house of scholars; then when we open our mouths, the scholarly fragrance will be there—Col. 3:16; 1 Pet. 2:2:

A. The atmosphere among us needs to change; the elders in the churches need to enter into the truth and be good mothers who teach the saints in the local churches; then every church will be a “scholarly family” —Col. 1:29; 3:16.

B. If all the churches read the Life-studies, the churches will become “scholarly spiritual families;” the newly saved ones among us will then be influenced and edified by this practice and enter into the Life-studies with us; in this way the church will surely become strong.

IV. Then every church will be a “scholarly family,” and the brothers and sisters will spontaneously pursue the truth and progress in the truth; every saint will become a “scholar”; then when we go out to speak the truth, we will be knowledgeable and able to clearly and logically present the truth—Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:19:

A. When people come into our midst, listening to the prayers of the young people and the sharing of the older saints, and observing the labor of the elders, they surely will feel that this family is rich, that it is a learned family with a great future.

B. I have the assurance to say that whoever has read through five hundred Life-study messages properly has been an excellent believer.

C. We must therefore spend time laboring on the truth; all the brothers and sisters in the churches must be like the children in a scholarly family; not only should they understand the truth, but they should also be able to use simple words to teach others the truth; it is a tremendous matter for us to be trained and constituted with the truth.

V. I hope that in every church each household would teach the truth and study the truth—Acts 2:42, 46-47:

A. I hope that the elders in each locality will give the saints some help and encouragement so that each household will have a supply of spiritual books.

B. The saints can place a copy in various places within their homes—on their dining table, on their nightstand, on their bathroom counter, and in their kitchen—to make enjoying the Lord’s word in every place convenient for all the members of their family and even for their guests.

VI. Please pick up a burden to return to your localities, fellowship with the elders, and consider this to be an important matter; the primary matter is not to promote the books but to stir up the saints’ interest in pursuing the truth and to encourage them to enjoy reading the spiritual publications; this will depend on the way that we do it—Jer. 15:16; Psa. 119:103; 19:10:

A. The Lord’s word will require that we bear the responsibility to labor willingly to zealously encourage and urge everyone in all the local churches to pursue the truth and read the spiritual publications—Col. 4:12; Neh. 8:1-8, 13; 2 Tim. 2:2, 15.

B. In this way the Lord’s truth will spread widely, and there will be a real revival—Isa. 11:9.

C. We must be faithful and diligent to release these truths—Psa. 68:11; Matt. 24:45.

VII. “I wish to live on this earth and witness with my own eyes the truth of the Lord not only being printed into books through our hands, but also being sent through us to every part of the world and prevailing in every place. I absolutely believe that this will hasten the Lord’s return because it is through this that the Lord will prepare His bride. ”
