GOSPEL TRACTS

A Letter of Introduction Penned by God Himself

Friends, when you see the grand universe running in such a regulated and exact manner, have you ever thought that, behind this complex but orderly system of the universe, there must be a designer and a governor who maintains its order? If there is a creator of the universe, what does He look like? If because of His differences from us in life and essence, this Creator of all things could not communicate with us face-to-face, He definitely would have written a “letter of introduction” to reveal Himself to us. And this “letter of introduction” surely would have the following characteristics:

(1) It must have His direct declaration, telling us that this letter is written by Him;

(2) His moral standard conveyed in this letter must far surpass the human moral standard;

(3) It must tell us the origin of the universe and the origin of mankind;

(4) It must tell us the destiny of the universe and the destiny of mankind;

(5) It must tell us the meaning of human life and God’s will concerning us;

(6) It must contain prophecies, and these prophecies must all be fulfilled at some point.

If we use the first point above to measure all the books in the world, then only three books would remain: the Bible (“Declares Jehovah” is repeated more than two thousand times in the Bible), the Koran, and the Book of Mormon.

If we use the second point to measure these three books, then only one book would remain: the Bible. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 19:19). This is higher than Confucius’ teaching: “Don’t do to others what you don’t want others to do to you.”

Regarding the third point, the Bible says: “For You have created all things, and because of Your will they were, and were created” (Rev. 4:11), and “Jehovah God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul” (Gen. 2:7).

Regarding the fourth, the Bible says: “They will perish, but You remain perpetually; and they all will become old like a garment…But the day…in which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the elements, burning with intense heat, will be dissolved, and the earth and the works in it will be burned up” (Heb. 1:11; 2 Pet. 3:10). It also says: “And inasmuch as it is reserved for men to die once, and after this comes judgment” (Heb. 9:27).

Regarding the fifth, the Bible says: “God…predestinating us unto sonship through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will” (Eph. 1:5), “that you may be blameless and guileless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation” (Phil. 2:15a), “in order that now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenlies the multifarious wisdom of God might be made known through the church, according to the eternal purpose which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Eph. 3:10-11).

Regarding the sixth, on average, every four verses of the Bible contain one prophetic word. The Bible prophesies about the rise and fall of nations and peoples as well as the fate of individuals. Countless prophecies have been fulfilled. How stunning!
